KP1 extension piece can be used on uneven surfaces in order to level the surface of ventilated facade or aluminium curtain wall. This solution should be chosen over ordering multiple sizes of brackets what makes the logistic and installation processes faster. The main and most obvious reason those elements are used is to extend the outreach of standard BSP K1 and K2 brackets.
